Infra-red Thermography

Infra-red thermography is a non-contact predictive maintenance procedure that identifies components that are hotter than they should be, (i.e. faulty electrical wiring) or components suffering from excessive heat loss (usually a sign of faulty inadequate insulation). It is ideal for electrical equipment, distribution panels, roof systems, motors, refractory materials, and transmission lines.

Fully trained and experience staff provide a complete report that includes points-of-inspection and location of possible trouble spots.

Alignment and Balancing

It's been estimated that more than half of all problems with coupled machines are due to misalignment and improper balancing.

Renown Electric offers both of those services with highly trained and skilled personnel, employing state-of-the-art laser alignment and dynamic balancing equipment.

Servo Motors Repair

Oil Analysis

Oil Analysis is one of the most cost effective predictive maintenance techniques available today. Oil analysis will detect the presence of wear in gearboxes 60 to 90 days prior to vibration.

Oil samples are taken from critical gear units and analyzed for viscosity, oil degradation, oil contamination and wear using CSI model 5100-1 portable oil analyzer. The test results are stored and trended in the same manner as the vibration analysis data.

Predictive Maintenance Program

Renown will custom design a total solution program for their customer enabling them to receive 24 hour service.

Our staff will be responsible to analyze, maintain and replace all electric motors for a predetermined Total Care Support Cost. This program allows our customers to outsource their on-going maintenance and support services at a fixed price.

Vibration Analysis

Vibration equipment condition motoring is performed with a CSI model 2120 data collector/analyzer and CSI Master Trend software which provides an integrated single source of critical machinery information for your plant's preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance technologies.

A Vibration Institute Certified Level II Vibration Analyst manages the vibration program.

Advanced Winding Analyzer

The Advanced Winding Analyzer is the test instrument, which represents the first combination shop and field tester to provide all of the major motor electric tests in one instrument.

All testing and data collection can be performed at a test bench or in the field. Documentation is created immediately. All these capabilities are incorporated in one instrument from Renown Electric. This documentation is a necessary requirement for most of today's quality audits.
